These Petition Rules (hereinafter \u2013 the Rules) establish the procedure for the creation, signing, public display, administration, support of petitions, and the use of funds collected on the website hia.lt (hereinafter \u2013 the Website).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.2. Petitions published on the website are initiated, prepared and submitted by Ambassador of Humanist Ideas, Public Institution, a non-governmental organisation (legal entity code 305485539, address V. Nagevi\u010diaus g. 3, LT\u201108237 Vilnius, email <\/span><a href=\"mailto:labas@hia.lt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">labas@hia.lt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) (hereinafter \u2013 the Organisation).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.3. The Website does not accept third-party petitions. All petitions published on the Website are initiated by the Organisation and reflect its issues, position, or objectives.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.4. By signing any petition available on the Website, the individual confirms that they have read these Terms and Conditions, agrees to them, and undertakes to abide by them.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Content and purpose of the petition<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.1. Each petition shall clearly state:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Petition subject and purpose;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The institution, organisation or entity to which a petition is addressed;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The method and scope of submitting the petition.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.2. By signing the petition, the signatory:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">agree with the content of the petition;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">agrees to his signature being included on the petition signature list;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">agree that a petition with a list of signatures should be submitted to the institution or organisation specified in the petition.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.3. The Organisation reserves the right to edit the description of the petition, provided that the essence or purpose of the petition is not altered (e.g., grammatical corrections, technical clarifications).<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Signature of the petition<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.1. The following data is collected when signing the petition:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Name<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 publicly visible;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Surname<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 publicly available shortened form (first letter of surname only);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Email address<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> - not publicly displayed, used to confirm a signature;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Type of stopping<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> publicly visible.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.2. A petition signature is considered valid only after confirmation. After completing the form, the signatory receives an email at the specified address with a unique, one-time confirmation link.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.3. Until confirmation is completed, the signature is invalid and is not included in the petition's signature list. An unconfirmed petition application is stored for a limited time and is automatically cancelled if not confirmed within the set period.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.4. The same email address can only sign the same petition once. If the same email address is submitted again, the system will inform you that the petition has already been signed with this address.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.5. The organisation reserves the right not to approve, reject, or remove a petition signature if:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">visibly non-existent or misleading first names, surnames or email addresses are provided;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been determined that the same person has signed several times;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reasonably suspected automated activity (bots) or organised abuse.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.6. The organisation is not obliged to state the reasons for rejecting an individual's signature.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. Petition distribution<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.1. By signing the petition, the person agrees to the petition being distributed:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">via digital channels (websites, social networks, email);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through traditional information channels (mass media);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by all legal means to achieve the purpose of the petition.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.2. The organisation has the right to publicly disclose information on the progress of the petition, the number of signatures, and the fact of its submission.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5. Referral of the petition<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.1. When signing the petition, you may have the option to further support a specific petition.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.2. Donations to the petition are voluntary and are not a mandatory condition for signing the petition.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.3. Any support specifically for a petition shall be used exclusively for the dissemination of that petition, including:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">physical and organisational measures;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">traditional communication (press, events, publicity);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">digital communication (advertising, content creation, technical solutions).<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.4. The terms and conditions for providing and administering grants are detailed in a separate document \u2013 the Grant Terms and Conditions.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6. Transmitting information to subscribers<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.1. When signing the form, the signatory may separately indicate that they agree to receive:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201eI want to receive petition updates\u201c;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I want to subscribe to the HIA newsletter.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.2. These consents are independent and optional: a petition can be signed without ticking any of them. The signatory may withdraw their consent at any time.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.3. The transmission of information is carried out in compliance with applicable legal acts and the provisions of the Privacy Policy.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7. Processing of Personal Data<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7.1. Personal data shall be processed only to the extent necessary for administering petitions, verifying signatures, submitting them to institutions, sending information (with consent), and ensuring the transparent progress of petitions.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7.2. Detailed personal data processing rules are provided in the Privacy Policy published on the Website.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8. Related documents<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These Terms apply together with:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Privacy Policy;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In general terms;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the terms of the donation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9. Final provisions<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.1. The Organisation reserves the right to amend these Rules.
